Would you have your landscaper build your house? I am a Las Vegas plastic surgeon and was doing a procedure the other day at my usual fully accredited outpatient surgical facility, and found it remarkable that an ENT surgeon next door was doing a breast augmentation! What woman in their right mind would have an ENT surgeon do their breast augmentation Las Vegas procedure?

The problem is that it is very confusing for the average person to understand how to find a well-qualified surgeon. Sadly, any doctor can call himself or herself “Board Certified” or a “Plastic or Cosmetic Surgeon”. A frightening number of physicians who call themselves “plastic surgeons” or “cosmetic surgeons” have actually trained in a nonsurgical specialty, and have no formal training in surgery. Many physicians who claim to be “board certified” have not been board certified by the by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). The American Board of Plastic Plastic Crate Mould Manufacturers Surgery is the ONLY Board in the field of Plastic and Cosmetic surgery recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Attending a weekend course to learn breast augmentation is not enough to be able to perform safe surgery on a person’s chest, and be able to handle potential intra-operative and post-operative complications. There is no way to fully understand the anatomy of the chest without significant surgical training in the chest! Surgery by untrained physicians can be deadly. I completed 4 years of General Surgery training followed by 2 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training in order to be qualified to perform breast augmentation surgery! And, I would NEVER decide to do orthopedic surgery like a total knee replacement, for example, after a weekend course because the pay was good! How do people sleep at night?

It is critical that patients do their homework to make sure that their physician is Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. This is the only board that certifies physicians in plastic surgery of the ENTIRE body, including the face, breast, abdomen, and extremities. For me to become certified by the ABPS, I was required to possess a five-year college degree and a four-year degree from an accredited medical school. It was mandatory for me to successfully complete a four-year surgical internship and residency, and complete a two-year accredited residency specifically in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. That is 15 years of training! And that was still not enough! Additionally, I had to practice plastic surgery for at least two years, submit all of my operative cases for review, pass extensive oral and written exams, receive comprehensive outstanding hospital reviews, before I was even considered for Board Certification in Plastic Surgery. Now that I have been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery for over 12 years, I have more recently completed my ten-year recertification, which requires exams, peer and hospital reviews, in addition to a thorough analysis of my operative cases, and in-depth medical education in my field.

If a doctor says he or she is “Board Certified”, it is in your best interest to check and see by which Board. There is no recognized Board of “Cosmetic Surgery” or anything other than the 24 listed specialties on the ABMS website

You should ALWAYS choose a Board Certified physician so that you can rest assured that your doctor has the knowledge, experience, and skills to provide quality healthcare within a given specialty. The Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance, health care institutions, hospitals, insurers, physicians and patients use Board Certification by an ABMS Member Board as an essential tool to assess physician credentials within a given medical specialty. In addition, Board Certified physicians keep pace with the latest medical advances, which translates into higher standards and the best quality of care.

One more thing: you need to ask if your doctor has hospital privileges to perform the particular surgery you are interested in. Properly trained and board certified plastic surgeons must have hospital privileges at accredited hospitals. You should ask about your plastic surgeon’s credentials and hospital privileges BEFORE undergoing any treatment or surgery. It takes 2 minutes to check online for yourself. Hospitals grant doctors privileges to do procedures that fit under their training guidelines. No hospital would grant an ENT surgeon hospital privileges to perform breast augmentation!

Do you know that you can gain success over any difficult situation in your life by thinking positive?

Yes you can...

The main reason that you fail in what you do is because of that negative mind set that holds you from behind. Think Positive.

When you fail in something you do, this is what actually happens - Way deep inside your mind, somewhere in your subconscious you will have a negative feeling which says you can’t do it or you can’t win over that situation or say you can’t hold that much or you can’t beat him/her or you are going to fail, that’s what makes you fail.

Thinking positive and being positive in your life can earn you a lot. Imagine a life where you are the all time champion, where you always win what you do, where there is no failure, where you are well respected in your society, fame, people trying to copy your success...

Ha ha what a dream... you might think its a dream that wont ever happen but I tell you that its all possible when you sort out the negative and think positive in your life.

What if I say I can show you real life examples of people who are successful in whatever they do because of their positive attitude. Yes I can, read on...

The best example I can show you is none other than the Now California Governor, The Hollywood Super Star, The Body Building Champion what a great titles... Now you know who he is... Yea none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. You can see from the exclamatory titles itself that what a big champion Arnold is. Whatever things he jumped in to, he came up with flying colours... See what Arnold says about being positive - From his own words in his documentary video about Arnold training and preparing to win the MR. Olympia Contest, 7th Time:-

"If you want to be a champion, you cannot have any kind of an outside negative force coming in and affect you... Lets say before the contest if I get emotionally involved with the girl, that can have a negative effect on my mind. So therefore I have to cut my emotions off and be kind of cold in the way before competition. That’s what we do then with the rest of the things. If somebody steals my car outside of my door right now, I don’t care, I can’t be bothered with that, the only thing i would do is I would ask my secretary to call the insurance agency and laugh about it because I cannot be bothered with it. So i trained myself for that to be totally cold and not have the things go in to my mind and it was in that way I said the story when my father died because my mother called me on the phone and she said your father is dead and this was exactly two months before the contest. She said to come home for the funeral & i said no, Its too late, he’s dead and there is nothing to be done and am sorry i can’t come, and I didn’t explain to her really the reasons why and i gave other excuses to her because I’ll be explaining to a mother whose husband died, you know you are tripped. I didn’t bother with it and that actually caused one of the greatest conflicts with my girl friend because she just looked at me and said, it doesn’t bother you? & I never talk about it again."

Ha no wonder he became a junior Mr. Europe when he was a boy and then became Five-time Mr. Universe and then seven-time Mr. Olympia, and Mr. World then became Hollywood Superstar and now California Governor.

One day I happened to watch a paul vault competition on TV, well I never watched paul vault sports before. What drew my attention to watch it was the great confidence and positiveness I saw on her face when she was about to do the paul vault. I didn’t even know her name actually. When the time came for her performance in the competition what I saw was a super confident face and there was applause all around and what I want to point out was that bumper mould there wasn’t a slight negativeness that I can find in her face and with that kind of a confidence who wont win any competition. Guess what she won it and she won the world record for the highest jump in Paul Vault. Next day I found her name and world record on news paper. Yelena Isinbayeva world record holder for paul vault and who won the world athlete of the year for the second time on 2005. She broke her own world records many times later on paul vault. So when you are positive in your mission inside, that positive rays will reflect not only on your face but also in what you do and you are going to overcome whatever difficult situation, however tough it may be...

I think I don’t need to give any more explanation. Hope you now know how much happiness, positive mindset can bring to your life.

We cannot imagine a world without plastics. Plastics have found their importance in almost all application ranging from household items to complicated research equipments. Though there were controversies that the plastics pose a threat to the environment, the advancements in plastic manufacturing technologies have given birth to the eco-friendly plastics. Plastic manufacturers can now recycle and create new plastic products out of the used plastics. You will be well aware of the fact that injection moulding is widely used to manufacture the plastic products. Today’s moulding is very much advanced and very different from what was originally invented. Just keep on reading the article to know all about the moulding techniques.

A Little History

Plastic moulding is not a new concept developed in the 21st century. Moulding plastics into useful products exits since the origin of man made plastic in the year 1851. The process of heating plastics and melting the molten material to obtain the shape of the mould is the basic concept behind plastic moulding. Though the concept of moulding remains the same today, this technology has seen many advancements. Plastic moulding received huge importance during the period of Second World War due to the demand for the plastic medical equipments. In fact the plastic manufacturers where struggling to meet the demand for the plastic products during this period. This is period when the moulding industry got a new shift towards development.

Current Plastic Moulding Techniques

Though the main concept of moulding remains the same, the equipments used by the plastic manufacturers have changed a lot. With the integration of latest computer technologies the production rate of plastic is greatly increased today. Unlike the olden days only when only fresh plastic materials were moulded to useful products, today with environmental awareness on the rise, plastic moulding concentrates on using recycled materials. Moreover, the advancements in moulding technology has made it possible to manufacture products in any complicated shapes.

Injection moulding is often ranked as the one of the commonly used processes in the production of plastic items. The popularity of plastic injection moulding is often due to the fact that it is a fast process which can be used to produce vast quantities of identical plastic items ranging from disposable consumer goods to high precision engineering components.

Typically Produced Products
The majority of thermoplastics, such as nylon, polystyrene and polycarbonate are produced through the injection moulding process, as are the majority of all plastic products ranging from micro parts to large components such as wheelie bins. Also, the fact that this process can produce items that range greatly in shape and size has resulted in the extension of the boundaries of plastic design and enabled significant replacement of traditionally used materials in part due to light weighting and freedom of design.

The Basic Process
The basic process involves the introduction of a material, via a hopper, into the injection moulding machine. This moulding machine consists of a heated barrel, equipped with a reciprocating screw (which is driven by a hydraulic or electric motor), which itself feeds the molten polymer into a temperature controlled split mould through a channel system of runners and gates.

The reciprocating screw plasticises (melts) the polymer as well as acting as a ram during the injection phase. The shearing action of the screw on the polymer also provides additional heating during this part of the process and the polymer is then injected into a mould which is created according to the required dimensions of the finished product.

The pressure used when injecting the polymer into the mould is very high and (depending on the material being processed) this pressure could even reach one thousand atmospheres.

The tools used in the plastic injection moulding process are typically made out of steel (as it can be hardened and plated if required) and alloys of aluminium to allow increased cutting and hand polishing speeds. The costs associated with the production of the tools required in this process mean that injection moulding tends to lend itself to high volume production of plastic products and components.

There is a large number of companies which specialise in the production of plastic components and products via injection moulding and the supply of moulds for the process. The fact that the service provided by these companies is demanded by a wide range of customers (including those in the defence and aerospace industries) shows the importance of this process and the necessity of its products.

Injection molding is known as the manufacturing process for the plastic parts. This process involves injecting the polymer to the object which is specifically shaped mold. This injection molding process can be used to manufacture some different products such as plastic based bumpers which are commonly used for the modern cars. Generally, there are three main types of polymers which are used in the injection molding process including thermosoftening plastic, thermosetting plastic, as well as elastomers.

Thermosoftening Plastic

This is the first option of polymer which is frequently used for injection molding process. Commonly, this is known as the thermoplastics. If you heat this polymer at high temperature, it will be able to soften and melt. On the other hand, if it will harden again at low temperature. Thermoplastics are available at a lot of varieties including the ones which are commonly used such as polyester. In addition, it is environmentally friendly since it is 100 percent recyclable.

Thermosetting Plastic

Thermosetting plastic is another common polymer which is widely available. It is contrary from thermosoftening plastic. It is available in the form of soft-solid form or liquid which is able to harden at the high temperatures. This type of polymer tends to be inflexible so that it can be brittle. One of the types of thermoset which is commonly used is Bakelite. In today’s world, this is commonly used for electronic insulation.

Elastomers

Elestomers are other types of polymers which are able to maintain their shape after they are cured with high temperature. In addition, these types of polymers have a high level of elasticity. One of the types of elestomers which are commonly used is rubber. With its elasticity, it is able to extend to certain degree. However, the capability of extension depends most on the specific composition of the material.
